AHM trains are some of the most popular collectible model trains in the world. Associated Hobby Manufacturers, or AHM, imported and sold model trains in the 1960's until the company closed in the 1980's. They imported from a variety of manufacturers including Rivarossi which is a company from Italy, Mehano which is a company from Yugoslavia, Roco which is from Austria, and manufacturers from Asia. The company is now called International Hobby Corporation or IHC.
AHM model trains range from models of old steam trains to U.S. Military trains. AHM's 1967-1968 product catalog for example featured Bowker 2-4-0 Steam engines as well as other Oldtime Steam Locomotives. AHM also sold model U.S. Military trains such as a 50' Box Car with Gun, a 50' Flat Cars with Tractor Trailer, Missile Launcher with Exploding Car, and model U.S. Army Caboose.
Aside from model trains, AHM also sold models of cars and trucks. They also sold models of planes and trolleybuses. AHM had models of the Alfa Romeo Guilietta, Cadillac Fleetwood, Chevrolet Corvair, Ford Falcon and other cars. From the late 1950's onwards, AHM offered the Eheim trolleybus system and accessories under the Minibus System name.
AHM also sold model kits of different aircraft. They were usually models of historical planes like the Spirit of St. Louis. AHM, however, is much known for their model trains. Collectors of AHM products prefer collecting AHM trains. Though the name AHM no longer exists, their products especially their model trains help keep the history of the company alive.
